Day 1 - A Gracious Welcome in Kigali
A member of our team will greet you at Kigali International Airport and accompany you to your hotel for a restful first night in Rwanda’s sophisticated capital.

Day 2 - Kigali City Tour & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, a thoughtfully curated city tour takes you to the Kigali Genocide Memorial - a place of quiet reflection - before a scenic private transfer to Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri. As evening falls, you may choose a gentle nature walk to the shimmering twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo.

Day 3 - Gorilla Trekking & a Cultural Immersion
Following an early breakfast, your guide escorts you to the park headquarters for the morning briefing before your trek begins. The walk into the forest is a moving and memorable experience, culminating in a private hour in the company of the mountain gorillas - ample time for photography and quiet wonder.
Afterward, return to your lodge or enjoy a visit to a local cultural village, where you may take part in cherished traditions - from a re-enacted royal marriage and archery to the spirited Intore dance and the grinding of grain. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner.)

Day 4 - Golden Monkey Trekking & Transfer to Kigali
After breakfast, set out to track the dazzling golden monkeys of the bamboo forest, with a packed lunch and refreshments to accompany you. The time spent in their company is wonderfully unhurried - there is no need to rush this rare encounter. To protect these delicate creatures, contact is kept respectfully brief.
Following the experience, you will be transferred back to Kigali, with a drop-off at the airport for evening departures. This concludes your four-day luxury primate safari with Insight Safari Holidays. (Breakfast and lunch.)
